Now I can tell you when *I* think there will be snow on the ground. I gotta say, had you asked me a couple weeks ago I might have said this week could be the one. However, no more… we’re close, but not close enough. The East Coast got the frighteningly early snow storm instead.

This week will be a mix of fog, sun, cloud and rain…. in roughly that order from today through Wednesday then repeating.

As for the weather today. It’s going to be cold, yes (it got down to a low of 1.8C this morning). The fog is especially thick today. Whether it burns off before sundown is up for debate. If it does, you can expect it to warm up to around 6 or 7C or possibly more. If it does not burn off, I wouldn’t put the high much above 5C. Either way, bundle up tonight for Trick or Treating…

And oh ya…about that.

I’ve received and set up my new webcam. It is a Canon G6. I am cropping the image so that it is ‘widescreen’ aspect ratio and removes a lot of the buildings on the bottom. It looks pretty nice I think. :) The nighttime performance won’t be quite as great as the DSLR, but it’s not bad. I will mess around a little with the settings to get the best quality picture I can. And it’s still far better than what the Stardot camera is capable of.

The weather is looking decent for today. Rain should start overnight, but nothing too big. There will be a bit more cold air come at us on Monday and Tuesday and then it looks like another bout of rain for midweek.

The long range forecast is looking….. soggy and chilly. :)
