That is a doozy indeed!

I was noticing a couple days ago on a north-west hemisphere SST anomaly map there was a chunk of overly warm water off our shores...

I was watching satellite images over the past few days and was noticing the moisture really picking up from where that warm water was.

One wonders if that's contributing to the strength of that low pressure centre up there.

WE even got it out here on the coast. Last report I had was the dandruff had blades of grass poking through. Might be an interesting drive to work tomorrow.

It's snowing nicely at Burde Hill right now 5:30pm. The grass is white, like my knuckles all the way from Nanaimo, when I first saw the sleet at 4:00.
