Finally some cool and possible moisture!

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

We’ll finally get some cooler (normal) temperatures in the coming days. Might also get some much needed rain to dampen down the fire hazard a bit.

I’ve continued a little bit of work on the backend of the website for the past week. The “Search Weather Data” (bottom of the Almanac above) is now able to understand different Units as well as handle slightly larger time spans (up to 4 months) though note that it will search and display in Eastern Time.

All done! Less Tech –> More Heat!

All done the upgrades. Apologies for the intermittent downtime but all is done and much happiness reigns. There will be very cool new features available now. Plus, my life is a little easier (OK, a lot!) because I no longer have to worry about converting from Universal Time to PDT and back, and forth, and back… and forth. OMG, I’m so glad that’s over.

Anyway, the only thing that is still busted, is the rain graph… but you wouldn’t know unless I told you! Oh wait… darn. :)

I also fixed a nagging issue with the Unit Systems! They now keep their settings. So go ahead and pick US, European, Scientific, Nautical… whatever you want! You need not click more than once anymore!

Back to the weather…. more of the same folks. Warm, sunny, dry. Great if you’re at the lake, bad if you want a campfire. And now we’re getting a chance of thundershowers in the evenings.

All I can think about these afternoons… where’s my wind turbine!!??
