Dang-nabbit I want some sensors!

The suspense is killing me. If I don’t get some new sensors in the mail today or tomorrow, I might just go loopy!

So to keep me, and you, occupied while we wait for UPS to deliver… what are your thoughts on this question?

I’m thinking I should maybe move my station from semi-shaded area on the West side of the house, to North peak of the house. Advantage being that the solar and UV sensors especially would always be above the roof line… so they’d “see” the sun all day everyday of the year.

The disadvantage being, Chris has to go up a 50ft ladder to do it, and again every few months for maintenance.

Both the scientist, and coward, inside me are saying “DUH!” for different reasons. ;)

UPDATE: THEY’RE HERE!

I will try to have them up by the weekend. Woohoo!!

You are the greatest! Thanx so much for this fabulous website for PA.

Re your stn location question: “to move, or not to move?” – You do a first class job on this site with great attention to detail. If the correct position for the station (and you probably know!) requires a 50′ hike, then you will be tortured until it is done!!

Well, no packages yet. But I might just move the station tonight anyway to get that part over with, then I’ll add the sensors when they come.

Do the new goodies interface into the existing VP2 stuff, or is it seperate?

they plug into the existing station, yep. When I bought it, I bought the “Standard” rather than “Extended” version of the VP2… same system, just with more junk plugged in right off the bat. :)
