Vancouver Island hasn’t been the only place that has received colder than normal temperatures and more snow than in the past few years.
East of the Rockies… temperatures are in the deep freeze. It was 54 with the windchill in Edmonton.. and blizzrads raged across the prairies. Today, Eastern Canada is getting flash frozen by Kids are playing and there is a snowman competition.
And the Chinese New Year has started off very white and cold in Southern China causing transportation chaos and energy shortages.
So in short.. we’re not the only ones enjoying the snow!

trucks are tough to control in the snow if there is no weight in the back, doesn’t matter what kind of tires you have!

Ya, it’s warmed right up, it’s been raining most of the day. Almost all of yesterdays snow is gone.

I’m close to the airport but no precip right now. We still have 4-5 inchs of snow.

you know what, that’s a good question… the power isn’t out, and I can connect to the webcam through it’s direct network address… but there is no image.

ya I seriously doubt we’ll see 5-10, but who knows.
Seems the webcam just stopped transmitting images for some reason, I had to go downstairs and unplug it to get it to come back on.
Weird.

seems they were wrong again. i’m starting to think that EC predicts larger snowfalls than they really expect for this area, just to cover their butts. Calling for up to 2 cm tonight too, but i’m not seeing it on the satellite… watch, just our luck, we’ll get 10cm + out of nowhere, LOL

what i really want is RAIN. what happened to our pineapple expresses? haven’t caught a steelhead since Xmas Day. What a difference from last winter.
