Sorry for the hiccup today.. webhost issues…

Looks like unless you’re on Mt. Washington, we’ll be in for a green Christmas.. lots of warm air being driven our way over the next few days.

Hope you like the new database driven graphs… one thing I would like to know… is it too much information on the same graph?

I like to know the relationship between things… that’s why I put the Barometer and Wind on the same graph. However, if people find it’s just not readable enough, please let me know and if enough people think so… I’ll make seperate graphs. You can leave a comment or email me at chrisale at gmail.com

Oh, and the timescale under the graphs has been giving me grief… hopefully i can figure it out soon.

I will also be moving the min and max values to retrieve from the database too… mainly to solve the UTC time annoyance.

Hi Chris.. not sure if you are aware, but the text on your dynamic images are scaled a bit, and hard to read. I’ve looked in both FireFox and IE7

Thanks for the tip Nick, I haven’t had a change to check it on Windows yet… it looks ok here on my Mac, but it deals with scaling a lot better in images…

I’m firing up my Windows-side as I type. :)

Ah… silly me… I was generating a wider image than my webpage was expecting… should be better now, just have to adjust the font down a little now. :)

I like the improvements – very nice. I ask — the new rain graph bars are per day showing 2 days rains – however – the totals from the rain graph and what’s stated up top – don’t jive for totals – or is it that maybe I’m not reading them right ??

Hi Mike! Hey that’d be fun! I’ll be hanging out here with the kidlets, drop on by. :)

You’re indeed right, the rain totals and the graphs don’t jive because of the galdarned GMT business.

Since the Weather station is on GMT… it’s “daily” totals reset at 4PM PST.

Part of the strategy of setting up these graphs is that they’re grabbing data from a database and can do it’s own calculations independant of the time.

Soooooo… within the next 48 hours you should see that “Rain since 4PM” magically turn into “Rain – 24hrs” and then the graphs and values will start to jive.
